June 2025 was the moment when I lost my passion and creativity for photography. I never saw it coming and up until that point I was enjoying all the shoots I did. I took a break for a couple of months in order to reset myself and rediscover that passion and creativity and at the beginning of August it came back to me when I woke up one morning and heard this sound of roaring nearby. Took a few moments to realise it was the burner of a hot air balloon and I quickly got dressed, put my shoes on and grabbed the camera bag and left the house. Went to the nearest vantage point to where I live and got camera ready and started taking images of the hot air balloons. About 10 minutes in I thought to myself 'you are supposed to be taking a break from all this', it was than I realised my passion had come back. After that day I eased myself back into working with models again and enjoying the creativity that came with each shoot.
Into this year which started off well but than there was a medical issue within the family and I took a step back again from photography to look after this family member. February onwards and I started to slowly get back into the flow of photography again and now I'm at the point where I feel comfortable, happy, very creative and productive!!
