Pamela Rooke aka Jordan Mooney, worked as a sales assistant at SEX which was a boutique run by Vivienne Westwood and her partner at the time, Malcolm McClaren. Jordan was also a major figure on the London Punk scene in the mid 1970's from being seen at early appearances by Sex Pistols and also with her raccoon style makeup, her bouffant hairstyle and her daring outfits. To describe her in two words they would simply be Trailblazer and Icon.
When it came to me and Chiara working out ideas for our shoot originally we were thinking of working on a punk theme and choosing a few female punk icons including Jordan Mooney. Than the news broke that on 3rd April 2022 Jordan Mooney had passed away and it was at that point we decided to change the the ideas around and instead just focus on Jordan and pay tribute to her. Once that was agreed on both myself and Chiara got researching on everything connected to Jordan, from her makeup and hairstyle to the outfits and also her personality and attitude. Many hours were spent reading interviews and articles, studying images of Jordan and doing everything we could to make this a proper tribute and in the end we both felt we achieved that.
